Failure Is Not An Option- Soliloquy

To succeed or to fail – that is the question Whether ‘tis easier to go to class everyday And face the voice of your teacher day to day, Or to stay in house on the couch, Waiting to watch an episode of the House and the Mouse. Early morning work in the student store - Whether ‘tis easier to sleep more ‘Tis a situation that I go through everyday Bells ring and I have to be on my way To walk up each step day after day - Passing the elevator on my way. To walk in class whether than to be asleep, Gets me a step closer to be able to succeed I do not wish to be absent, But there are some things you can not control, ‘Tis a situation That has to stop. Thus being absent does not make my teacher proud But the bliss of sleeping in Makes me act like a cat when it prowls I walk over to my seat Getting through another day to make my family and I proud. The first period’s quiz Makes my head fall into a dizz - Thus because I did not read the night before But the sound of my snore made my family go into an uproar What do I do when senioritis hits me bad? I cannot get mad nor can I get sad. To succeed or to fail – my mother say But in my mind I am destined to succeed anyway Long days and late nights I regret my actions to a certain extend. Thus I try to stay up to make up my work – But my eyes roll back and my pin slips I wake up in a scare - I say to myself I am going to succeed I know I can.
