The Fairy of the Morning Glory

The Fairy of the Morning Glory

She comes out at night

Adorned in a dress

Of violet and white

And beauty made to bless.

Closed off all day

She frees her wings

Hidden from sun’s ray

From eyes of being things.

In the gloom of dark

Shedding her innocence

Illuminated as a spark

A firefly in the distance.

Kisses each morning glory

With her tender, fairy lips.

Telling each a story

Nectar from her mouth drips.

As the sun begins to rise

And the birds begin to wake,

The vain fairy makes her demise

Hiding for her and our sakes.

And a sweet fairy

She is once more

Hiding in her lair

Secrets of her lore.
