Fairy Tale Endings

Once upon a time I didn't believe in fairy tale endings. I thought all those stupid princesses were only pretending. I was popular and liked, and married to the dreamiest man in the village. I thought my life was perfect until it was too much to keep up the image. Then one day I decided I wanted more in my life. I was tired of being a borish, brainless man's wife. So I took off up a hill in dance and in song. I never realized I had been living my whole life wrong. I came across a castle late at night. I was swept away by its beauty until a beast gave me a fright. Now it's ten years later and that beast is my true love. But the night Gaston shot and killed him I realized I hadn't fallen in love quick enough. I had almost believed in fairy tale endings. But now I'm back in my village and now I'm the one pretending.
