Fairy Tales Lie

Once Upon a Time,

all the way back to first grade,

we promised to stay princesses 

for our whole lives.

We would marry a prince,

get our true loves kiss

but we didn't know what lies could slip

out of our true loves lips

We fell in love with their eyes

because thats how we thought

we could know for sure 

We fell in love with their voices 

because we thought 

we would be able to hear their lies 

but sweet voices 

are only 

false safety 

You thought you owned our kingdom

the one we promised to share

You turned around 

and gave it away 

to the orange haired prince 

who turned out to be 

just another villain 

Although I'm sure you weren't surprised 

But I found my prince 

and we left you behind 

to live our own happily ever after 

with no villain
