Fairy-tales vs Reality

To compare fairytales to ones love-life,

Would be like shaking hands with your own death.

Instead of being in such constant strife,

Our society shouldn't waste their breath.

Filling young girls heads with expectations

That one day they will be swept off their feet.

And they will never face complications.

With no one else will they have to compete.

Yet the truth is it's never as it seems.

No matter how hard a couple pretends.

It'll eventually burst at the seams.

Having the heart broken, waiting to mend.

But, imagine a world without such stress.

Where we could love just like animals do.

By not wanting anything more or less

Than togtherness to last the night through.

I then became envious of their gless,

And then the amused squirrel winked at me.
