To keep the young from getting burned

Morales and concepts protect them all

From consequences big and small

Teaches people to do whats right

And to keep shining bright

In addition to the teaching

Fairytales don't practice preaching

In tales both gruesome and gory

Lies the lesson of the story

Don't trust stangers in the woods

Don't steal other's goods

Your stepmother wants your head

And a witch wants you dead

Good and bad but mostly odd

Beasts with teeth and lots of claws

All created so you know

Treat people nicely wherever you go
