Faith

How can You love me?

I've tried and failed so many times.

What is it about me?

You gave quarters and all I could offer were dimes.

I've never been enough.

Why can't You see?

My dreams were a bluff.

Why do You still want me?

What is this life for?

Why am I here?

Please tell me why

I live in constant fear.

You gave me light

You gave me breath

To try and be better

and not surrender to death.

So here I am, Lord

take me as I am.

You've always loved me,

You've always given a damn.

You inspire me

to triumph fear

to overcome my demons

to love with revere.

Please continue to guide

my ever-wandering trail.

You have given me life

my sins will not prevail.

I will give You glory

through the way I live my life

I will give You gratitude

no matter the amount of strife.
