FAITH

For my unspeakable sins,

He died a gruesome death.

We still sing ominous hymns,

About that tragic day.

Along the path of judging,

People scorn His name.

Some cautiously nudging

Their way through the crowd.

Injured is His skin,

As the nails pierced his feet and hands.

Our souls He did win!

He is the Almighty Savior!

The cross still etched

Within my brain.

The people are wretched

That cursed His suffering.

He saved our souls!

Heaven is within reach!

Our trouble annuls.

Awesome is His name!
