Faith

I've been through a lot,

My life is full of pain

The memories are thick,

My tears fall like rain.

I've made mistakes,

that I will forever regret.

My soul begs for forgiveness,

But it can't, not yet.

My days go by,

I pretend its okay.

I don't know what to do,

I don't know what to say.

My mother takes my hands

and tells me to stay strong,

For we have to keep trying

and keep pushing along.

We learn from our mistakes,

She will help me get through.

I'm stuck in a mess,

I don't know what to do.

She says, "Faith is your friend,

its path you cannot doubt.

Let it be a light for you,

when all other lights go out."
