Faith

When I think of what I really need

many things come to mind.

My friends, my dog, my family,

with others intertwined.

But when I think of a certain thing

I cannot live without,

the answer within my heart sings

a song that is so loud.

I cannot live without my faith

despite the times I've tried.

My trust in God has got me through

times when those I love have died.

Religion has been there for me

when some people were not.

God has given me hope and glee

when my will to live was forgot.

When my life is done and gone away

and I look back on my time

I know that I won't regret the day

I knew my faith was truly mine.
