The Faith of a Giant

Dear the professor who tested my faith,

I thought college was a breeze until I had your class.

I sat there wondering if I made a mistake at last.

But I am thankful that I stood my ground,

Because it made me stronger all around.

I have encountered many mental tests,

But my faith would overcome and I was blessed.

With your class and your personal views,

This was more like a mental bruise.

When I went to other classes I thought about my faith.

When I went to sleep I thought about my faith.

When I went to practice I thought about my faith.

When I woke up in the morning I thought about my faith.

This was not something I could brush off,

As I was on the go and trying to rush off.

I couldn’t escape the pain it caused me,

Because it effected me in every degree.

I reached out to members in my church,

And family members who I had to search.

I wanted advice for this unnecessary pain,

But I wanted to do it my own way.

I was stuck between sitting silent,

Or raising my hand to defeat the giant.

Was I going to be an ordinary college student,

Or was I going to be Goliath, the shrewdest?

Thank God that I stuck it out,

Because it put me on a different route.

I stood up for what I believed in through an assignment,

And I realized that I defeated the Giant.
