Faithful and Fatigued

Not sleeping the night before

Fatigued, feeling not up to par

Watching the clock so intently

Waiting for the day to be over

So that you can run upstairs

Brush your teeth and then

Fall

Fall

Fall into a nice, deep sleep

Rolling over, with your significant

Other by your side, a smile is shared

Goodnight, I love you, is said.

The lights turn off

And now you both relax

Your breathing in sync,

Heartbeats in sync,

Minds in sync,

Intangled like a zentangle

It is perfect, peaceful, it is sleep
