In the theological joust, they play their part.

Original sin, a phrase with echoes deep, 

Augustine's legacy, in theological sweep. 

Pelagians rise, with a different song, 

In the verbal battleground, they too belong.

Justification, a sword both sharp and keen, 

Lutherans wield it, in the Reformation scene.

Catholic rejoinder, through works and grace,

In this duel of words, where doctrines clash,

Verbs and nouns, like weapons honed, 

In the arena of faith, their meanings intoned.

Yet, in the midst of this lexical strife, 

A quest for truth, beneath the words' rife.
