Fake
Fake
I hate the fact that people are fake.
I lay in bed at night, awake
When I'm supposed to be sleeping
And it's because some girl across town is weeping
Her wrists are bleeding
But it's her fault
She wants attention, so she says she has secrets in her dark vault
But there she is, walking over anyone who dare tell her halt...
Now im not saying depression is something to be laughed at
But when a girl posts a picture of her bloody arms on Instagram with a "Hashtag I'm fat!"
It's just a call for attention, the same thing as wearing a big hat
And so I deny them this attention
And the next time their knife slits across, their skin under tension
I hope they realize their no different from one another
Except of course, the girl who gets hit by her mother
Or the boy who used to have an older brother
Or that one individual
Whose life is so bad you can't even create a visual
They, if anyone, have a right to do this!
Not you, who whenever you fell got a hug and a kiss
You are nothing but fake
You who never will never give, only take
But of course you don't know any better
You're tied to the stake of society
And it's a very short tether
You have to stay there, enduring good and bad weather
But little do you know, you have been crouching this entire time
The top of the stake is round and fine
All you have to do is stand up and leave society in your wake
If you don't? Well then you'll be forever fake
