Fake Fans
A rich man is not rich with a dollar,
He needs more gold to truly fit this name.
Earning only one “A” deems not a scholar,
Many good grades makes a champ of this game.
The same goes for a few “fans” of bands,
A true fan likes more than just one hit,
This is a fickle fan, just like grains of sand.
They must like other songs to really fit.
A legitimate fan likes more than one,
For example I band I love called, fun.
To an average person they had one beat,
“We Are Young” shot off like a rocket ship
Only liking this song is such a cheat.
Try some of their other songs, they are hip.
If anyone likes more than just that record,
With many songs’ lyrics dripping off lips.
The title of “fan” will be their award.
