Fake It
If there were anything more beautiful in this world than love I have yet to meet it, I see all these things around me and it comes down to how we treat it. It's the rights it's the wrongs, its the things in between. But I don't think i'm imagining these atrocities i've seen. We lie, we cry, we steal, we cheat. There are children on TV by their parents they are beat. I see these things and my heart swells with anger. Anger because I know that I could love them better. If we all followed our hearts and ignored what we were told, if we all laughed and cared and weren't afraid to be bold. If we saw a person not by their color, by their preferences or hair, but by their character. By their soul, by the fact they are even there. If we could step into their shoes, being big or small, if we could see them there in front of us as raw. Allowing ourselves to be seen by all, even while knowing there is an inevitable fall. If we could love every person with this kind of mind, no matter how your form of love may be defined. If you can look someone in the eye and see their true colors, maybe we can look around and all call each other brothers. and disaster, these wars. Wars with ourselves, wars with our neighbors. Wars with the middle east, not doing ourselves any favors. I think its real simple, easier than we make it. I you tell me you love me, you better not fake it.
