faking it

it’s a sort of violence
against a semi-conciousness
that rips apart the happiest moments
and leaves them with a bitter aftertaste
too strong to remember the fact
that you were once happy
that you once loved with great passion
but the happiness and passion have gone
only to be replaced with nothing

but what does it matter
if you’re more broken than before
when you’ve become so very talented
at faking it
