The Fall

i hoped you'd say it again, such steep, fragile words of solidarity but our lips sealed silently together for all the time we've known the cracks and crevasses of our quiet mountainous bodies climbing higher and higher till we reach the summit and dangle our souls over the edge only to be thrust back from the fall into the damp murk of those silent caves so deep within ourselves. if you jump, i'll fall with you.
