The Fall
What does it matter then?
When all around us
Lay the ruins of a forgotten past
I climb the silent hill
My memories etched in dust
Falling; still
Silently on, through my frigid breath
I try to escape, this
It is without feeling,
It is without remorse.....
Quietly, gently
We look up
To see;
Traces of white, even higher, higher
And higher
Criss cross the blue hue, again for the seventh day
In all directions, it has started
Where are you? (now)
Where are you? (now)
Where are you? (now)
Gone, in an instant
Seeks shelter in open hearts
Reaction; screams in the distance
Crowds merge
Jostling then run in synchronized steps
Together in,
Congealed in,
Mass hysteria
Too late now; The Elect knew,
All along
From the beginning
How it would end
The World doesn’t go on…

Not like this
Not like this
My world
Not like this
Not like this
Not like this
Not like this
