The Fall

you gave me the sunshine,

that he took away.

you took my pain,

and made it all okay.

you made me smile,

an act that was forgotten.

you made me laugh.

i still wonder how far we would have gotten.

i can't say i wish we hadn't happened at all,

i just wish i had been ready for the fall.
