FALL

A spectrum of fiery red and apricot, A soft hazel fills my balcony, From an adjacent tree, these leaves descend. Through the gentle fall breeze it sways. It sways, so slowly, So gently, So graciously, They fall. Solemn Lifeless Bare On my balcony floor, they lie. Much like that tennis player, these leaves look; Who lost his finals Fallen to the ground; defeated All in a moment or so. Wretched Bland Crumbled The maple leaf, he resembles. Spring comes Leaves sprout, they grow Greener, more sparkling than ever These leaves to me look Just like this, you too Shall grow out victorious Fall is mere part of Four Seasons; inevitable. Falling doesn't equal failure Oh, look at those leaves To emerge in strength You have to fall, like those leaves.
