This Fall

this fall

the skeptic me has disappeared

the dark mind took over

because now

i believe in ghosts

because yours continues to haunt me

with eyes open

or closed

i know your cold

but your warmth is what follows me

engulfs me

i know your stealing

the shattered breathe you gave to me

as a birthday present

everyday

you hurt me

i feel your weight,

even though you cannot,

crushing and suffocating me

leaving less of breathe

less of a heart

less of soul

for me

and i don’t know

if you’re trying to kill me

to bring me closer to you

or to get rid of me

once and for all
