Fall

Autumn is a wonderful time of year;

Leaves are turning and the sun is shining.

Pumpkin patches and Halloween are near;

Fall is a season of perfect timing.

The air smells around me everywhere,

The wind is blowing and birds are singing.

Fall is a season that is very fair,

With the children playing and mingling.

But then it changes and the leaves go away

I never loved the cold air that will blow.

I want the season to come back and stay;

Life does not work that way it will not flow.

I will see the season next year once more,

And it will be as pretty as before.
