Fall Apart
I cried
Pleaded with my eyes
Begged him to stay
He knew a part of me that no one else had dared to get close to
I trusted him because he was different
I had no reason to think otherwise
Until he left, sudden
Like a stormy night after a beautiful sunny day
Things were so perfect when everything was pushed under the rug
But we tripped
And now we have to clean it up
To be able to see eye to eye
I want him so badly I was willing to destroy myself with him
And for what? Just to be his?
I gave everything and it still wasn't enough
He still wanted more
"There's other options, you'll find better"
I thought I had found the best when we met
"I don't want this to end"
I wept as he held my head
His arm wrapped around my waist holding me close
I wish he never let me go
Maybe it wasn't meant to be
But I don't think it was meant to fail either
