Fall of Freedom

Dear You, who has kept me

October comes

The months have flown

With each second, the leaves change

With you comes the autumn scent

You have kept me, even in vain

We waited and watched the leaves change

To you, who has never known

What it was that you have shown

Tantalize and Temperance

This is the game that we play

For once, we have broken the covenant

Yet, what was it that made you stay?

Was it the gentle touch, that caressed you in the silent dusk?

Was it the radiant smile, that brightened the day?

Or perhaps, it was the musk

Or the open door that showed you the way

You have seen the highest of highs

and the lowest of lows

Even still, you see through to the other side

Where one sinks into the river flow

Do not set your mind aside

For you see, it is my greatest pride
