The Fall From Nirvana

The Fall from Nirvana

If the silence had a sound, it’d sound like white noise.

Just something that fills the void.

Something that bridges the gap between you and I.

But will I cross over that bridge? And make it home in time?

Home…

That’s a funny thought.

Because my homes reckless, but we never get caught.

Until right now.

Until I let it all out.

The truth they try to squander, my life I should ponder.

But instead I just wander.

And I dream… Of things human eyes could never perceive.

And I try to be queen, but I always end up as pawn.

Losing a game, I thought I won.

I thought it was over.

Their trying to keep me sober.

But my sobers when I’m high.

Feeling as if I could touch the sky.

And when I hit rock bottom It didn’t make a sound.

And the glitter that once was my soul is all dust now.

I tried to survive among the clouds.

But I failed.

And now I’m struggling to survive along the ground.
