Fall of Society

I would live to see the day that society crumbles,
Their ashes in the palm of my hands, all destroyed,
To finally have its remains of the endless hate,
Of the standards that society had created.
You may wonder, why society’s death is sweet,
It demolishes our acceptance of love,
Towards ourselves and towards others,
Creates pain that wasn’t meant to be.
It had set up what is right and what is wrong,
Decides what we are to wear and who to be,
What is considered picture perfect, flawless
Outcasts those who do not fit the mold.
Be skinny, attain perfect hair, skin, and face.
Did it not see the black and blues on others?
Others goes to the extreme, to obtain beauty,
Withering away by the demon’s whispers,
Its toxic words, pulling them down into the abyss.
Drowning deeper in the demons lies,
Until the host is past the point of no return,
The host’s already beautiful figure, diminished,
Reduced to zero – lost – gone.
The angels save them but their life hangs on a thread,
Some barely make it out alive, just barely,
Lost in translation, failure in their eyes,
They try to recover, but the demon hangs on.
Society showed that in creating perfection,
Is to destroy the imperfections, flaws, the light,
But the demon forgets about their Achilles heel,
Love is stronger than it will ever be.
Love is the light at the end of the tunnel,
Showing more love and acceptance cures all hate,
Love from others and from ourselves heals,
Recovery is possible, love is perpetual.
I live to see the day that society falls,
To change its laws and guidelines,
To spread acceptance. Extinguish conventions.
To send, most of all,
Love
