The Fall to the Top


Like father like son Some saw much of Daedalus in young Icarus He was smart, too much so for his own good Looking at others as less than He began to feel like more than himself He was high on power, he could touch the sun No one could reach him Daedalus tried to stop him He had gone down the same spiral and suffered Icarus unapologetically went forth into the sun Higher and higher he rose Stepping on others to get to the top And then kept on going Unmatched in all areas Icarus was Unmatched in the demise that followed his climb
