Fallen
The sun is falling
To the other side of Earth,
Bathing me
In darkness,
A cold that is
Too much.
The light of day has retreated,
Leaving me
To hold onto the moon,
Abandoning me
In my own head,
Torturing me
With thoughts of what is
Waiting for me
When my insides decide they are
Failing me
And my life is
Running
Away
From
Me.
Will I sit and
Cower,
As I do
When the sun
Slips away?
