Fallen

I fell hard.
Unwilling to accept what happened,
I lay on the ground.
Motionless,afraid, uncertain,
Of what is to come.
Uncertain of what my next move is.

Eyes closed,
I imagine every possible outcome.
Stubbornly stuck on the idea ,
That me falling,
Was a false account.
But eventually, I must get back on my feet.

Heart on my sleeve,
I pick myself up,
And smile.
I smile because I fell,
I fell for you.
