The Fallen

There once was a girl who thought she had it all

Then she grew up to watch everything fall

There once was girl who shined so bright

At the end of it all she lost her light

Cry as she may there is no changing the past

Beg if she must her future will not last

I really got into poetry in my freshman year of high school when I was going through a tough time. Since then I still do poetry from time to time and feel its a good outlet. I love doing poetry because not only can I get my emotions across on paper, but I can look back at something I created and am proud of. Most of my stuff does also turn out to be a little on the dark side, but nothing too bad. I feel we all have some sort of dark side to us and just hope that others can relate.
