fallen angels

an angel had fallen

her wings now broken

her halo now lost

her radiant beams glower no more

she is no longer pure

someone had taken that from her

something of the outmost importance

she cannot reverse it

she is not what she used to be

now she only lies awake

not able to sleep

knowing she let her guard down

you see she was once loved by many

she was noticed and cared for

she was accepted

but all of that was because of her pure blood and pure heart

now she has scars

not from other peoples doing

but rather from her own

she felt worthless enough

to want to take her own life

her beauty she believes

 is no longer there

someone out there

can see her beauty

someone can relate to her pain

she has been hurt by many

but she found on

who will love her

for who she is

her physical scars may not fade

but her emotional scars will

the scars that lie upon her heart

are now being mended

because of another fallen angel

who had been through the same pain

who's physical scars have healed

they both felt alone and unwanted

insecure of themselves

they allow the other into their heart

they both now feel accepted

both dependent on the other

now in love

knowing they will never be pure again

they still love and accept each other

from now

until the end of time
