The Fallen Crown

It's funny how things you would never expect suddenly take place

With the drop of a dime, you can disappear without a trace.

Gone are your opportunities, windows and open doors.

Silenced are the crowds that once sang of you in high praises galore.

Now you're left to your deceiving thoughts of wonder.

Not taking chances on the 'Ifs', 'Coulds', or 'Woulds' that took you under.

All you can do is accept what happened and try to do better.

I hope things work out for the best and there is no more stormy weather.
