Fallen Star
Fallen Star
That morning we knew something was wrong
We could not save him not for long
God took him peacefully as he breathed his last breath
He closed his eyes and went to rest
But a wild heart cannot be caged
He proves it as he flies through the Milky Way
Singing songs and dancing dances
Missed greatly but now he lives with new chances
New opportunities and old missed people
Who have waited for him so patiently
They came from close they came from far
To see the man that is our fallen star
They listen all day to the tales he must tell
He searches the crowd and his heart fell
He realizes his earthly chain is broken
All of our lives to him are now unspoken
As one chain is mended the other must break
Until all are reunited again in one special place
I will wait patiently until that time comes
For now I must feel the silence as it hums
Hearing you in my head
Knowing your home with them instead
It breaks my heart for me to say
Please remember me as you fly through the Milky Way
