Falling

It is the feeling of your stomach dropping,

Along with your mind and heart.

The feeling of weightlessnses,

Though gravity still pulls you down.

Blackness on all sides of you vision,

And a whistle that rings in your ears.

It isnt until you hit the bottom that the pain hits you.

The realization that there is no more solid ground,

Nothing stable to hold you up.

No one is there with you in the black hole you fell in.

Your heart still falling,

leaving you behind.

No one will be able to help you stand,

It is a task you must learn on your own.

To be able to push off and put one foot in front of the other,

To stand and find your own way out of the darkness.

Even though falling is scary and painful,

Your road is full of holes,

Some deep and some shallow.

But it is that first hole that allows you to learn the most,

Because no matter what hole you fall in,

Now you know how to get back up.
