Falling

The leaves on the trees
Fall every autumn
If they can fall
Why can't I?

I'm drifting downwards
Away from you
If someone doesn't snatch me
I'll be gone.

Bullying, discrimination
Abuse from my peers
They make me drift faster
Going, going, gone.

But a kind hand
A strong grasp
And I'm floating in the wind
A feather, not a leaf.
