Falling
we kissed
and i dont know if i expected to feel everything
or nothing at all
but i enhaled your presence into my lungs
my soul
and it took over
every part of me
like the rush of a drug in my viens
and time didnt stop but disappeared completely
i looked into your eyes and fell
and fell and fell
and suddenly i landed in water so cold it took my
breath away but it turns out
that wasnt water at all
it was love
or what i thought love was
until i stayed awake at night wondering
why when you took my breath away now
it wasnt from kissing but rather choking
i was held down by your hands and
your words
and my breath was gone for so long i
had forgotten how to breathe at all
