Falling from Grace
Once upon a time the ever popular Grace Gothel gave birth to a beloved child in a cold world.
Everyone whispered what a world.
Rapunzel was born with hair as golden as the sun and eyes as chillingly blue as a glacier.
Everyone whispered what a beauty.
Rapunzel was another world wonder, but she had secrets.
Everyone whispered about the strangeness.
Her secrets stemmed from her mother’s ungodly hatred of her. Her mother’s hatred was the reason for her to be locked up tight.
Everyone whispers when will we see the wonder? When will we be graced by the beauty?
Mother Gothel couldn't let Rapunzel leave.
Everyone whispers what do you fear?
Grace feared that she would hurt Rapunzel. Sometimes she saw her daughter and hated her. What would people say?
Everyone whispered about her wrath.
Sometimes Grace felt so guilty for bringing a child into such a treacherous place.
Everyone whispered about the darkness.
Darkness was all Grace could see unless she saw her daughter. Then she saw red. The red of her fury and rage towards her Rapunzel.
Everyone whispered about the withheld rage.
How dare that child cry while I haven’t slept! How dare that child be upset when I’m going crazy!
Everyone whispers about the ugliness in that house.
Rapunzel begins to escape from her dreary life at night. She knows she's just a figure in the night.
Everyone whispers about the nightly ghost of the beauty, who wanders the streets.
While Rapunzel dreamed of fleeing, Grace dreams of drowning her sweet child. Grace can hear her screams but are they real?
Everyone whispers what a crazy.
Rapunzel, Rapunzel, you did this to me.
Everyone whispers she’s losing it.
Now Rapunzel has met a man, ready to take her away. Living with her mother is like stepping in quick sand. Once you're in, you never come out. Now is her only escape and she’s ready. She’s ready to let her hair down, let loose and leave this life.
Everyone whispers that Rapunzel has fled.
Grace doesn't understand she was so normal before Rapunzel. Now her daughter is gone, and Grace is falling. She’s slipping. She’s losing her self in a kaleidoscope reality where she’s trapped in her hatred for her daughter. She’s drowning in the guilt of bringing a child into this world.
Everyone whispers about who Grace Gothel is now.
Such a beautiful baby should have been a light in a dark world but alas she wasn't. She was the storm that overtook Grace. Now, Grace is drowning in the waves of depression that are throwing her against the rocks, repeatedly ruining the guilt ridden woman.
Everyone whispers where is Grace? No one has seen her in awhile.
So Grace wastes away. Day after day she fights and uphill battle until one day she stops fighting.
Now everyone whispers about the woman with post-partum depression.
Rapunzel learns her mother did love her. Grace was a wonderful woman taken by the talons of a terrifying disease.
Everyone whispers about the life Grace lead. What a woman in such a warped world.
Once upon a time, a woman gave birth to another world wonder, only to lose her ability to love due to post-partum depression.
Everyone whispers once upon a time, we lived in a world where no one could understand such a darkness.
