Falling In Love
I said I'd never fall in love and this is what happened when I did...
He said I'll never leave you and I believed him
I guess I was wrong the day I got the phone call
It started out fine we were laughing and joking
Until he said "I have to tell you something"
No one wants to hear these dreaded words
My hands started sweating, my heart beating fast
He said there was another
I knew who it was for she flirted with him around me
I could do nothing because he wasn't mine
He moved on without me
Fighting to hold back tears I cried myself to sleep that night
I occassionally feel his touch on my arms, hands, and face
I get wifts of his smell
And if I try hard enough my mind recreates the last moment we spent together
My first love broke my heart for the first time
I will always remember his dreamy blue eyes and fiery red hair
Shame on me for falling in love with an older guy
He is now 18 and I only 14
Should've known
But that's what I get for falling in love
