falling too far

as the smoke fills my lung

all i think is this is all i'll amount to, or ever become

in that moment of silence i know all to well

i exhale and realize how far i fell

despite all the countless times i've tried to reach

i keep on falling so further beneath

the morals and dignity i used to hold so near

seem to instantly disappear
