false accusation
Nowhere to run
Nowhere to hide
I must come out, my hiding done
To face my fate, I rather would die
My body shaking
My vision fuzzy
The only sound is my heart’s rapid beating
Breathing becoming a struggle
The crowd of people staring
Though I try not to become aware
Of their judging that is growing
As I walk before them
I stand up tall, still afraid so
I must wear my glass mask of shame
Admit I am wrong apologize for my actions
Though the blame I carry is not really mine
The verdict stands GUILITY
My punishment is coming
My mask and I falling down
As my emotions start to show through
No place to hide no place to even run
False accusations causing a life
To be undone, becoming a shadow
That haunts an innocent man
