False Expectations

Hope there is honor in love. Designs you find may or may not be mine. Drinking wine in the deck above can't freeze time. Peace your mind left behind one day to find. A new life with a caring wife. A husband to understand. When he takes your hand. It is a silent command. He leads you to his bedroom. It was grand not like "village of the damned". There were no demands or getting body slammed. My spirit climbs. Rewind time where everything was fine. You weren't married to a mime. You treated you like slime. Where being a mom wasn't a crime. Food costs more than a dime. Do you hear a tune, a melody that chimes?
