A false hope for passersby

I attended my funeral No one wore black It was empty There was barely anyone No one to read out a eulogy for me Or to light candles Or to buy flowers Or to shed tears for me A desolate funeral, dreary I cried all day I cried all night For myself For losing myself My soul, My worth, My self respect, For I know how distressing it is To lose someone To lose someone you love Someone you imagine your future with I know I'm aware of it So I dig open the grave Buried myself in it Shoved the mud down my throat So hard That I don't wake up in the next life I placed some extra maggots So their poison makes me scream I then read some scriptures from The Holy Bible So that it reminds me How I wronged myself How toxic it is To fall for a wrong person To fall for a disrespectful lad Who is not ready to be a man yet Who doesn't have pure intentions The lesson is what I deserve The eternal pain The snake bite The cobra's poison ... It was time to wind up the funeral One last task To write the epitaph I picked up the charcoal And rubbed on the memorial plaque, "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted." (Matthew 5:4) A false hope for passersby.
