False Identity

I have built a mask Indifferent and cold A face void of emotion Only apathy to the world I then built a front Of uttermost confidence I stood proud and tall Rendering my enemies speechless Then came the wall Invisible they may be Pushing and keeping everyone away Scared of showing the real me And so I was praised By authoritative people Labeled a genius A role model figure But despite all the limelight And the praise that I get I had never felt happy Because I could never forget Forget that this person The one that they see The one that they're proud of Isn't the real me
