A False Love

You have a smile bright as the sun, but a heart as cold as ice.

Nice to everyone it seems, but it’s all an act.

None saw me suffer, but I paid a price.

You swore to me, you made a pact.

But of course, all good things end with due time.

It was harsh, abrupt, and sudden the way you left.

Acted as if you were innocent, committed no crime.

Really you did, it was theft.

My heart you took it and forever stowed it away.

You knew I was hurt; you saw a waterfall from my eyes.

Communication everyday,

But you never even try,

To understand how I truly feel.

I knew what we had would never be real.
