The False Prophet

What happened to all your soft promises and sweet lies?
Did they slip off your tongue or did they wash away?

Because it seems as is your heart is fleeting.
Never staying in one place fully.

On your own little island.
You tell yourself false prophecies.
Then you spread them to others to pull them in.

Once in the snare you make them believe your words.
"I want you because you are important to me"

You sink your teeth in and leave behind venom.
and then it doesn't seem so soft and sweet anymore.
