Familiar

Something so familiar stricts me with grief

It creeps in exactly how it always does

That anxiety drivin panic so familiar

That tells you "RUN" because that's what you do

You try to banish it back to where it came

Because it warns you of a past you know all too well

Those that said they wouldn't change but did...

"They don't love you" "They never believed in you"

Maybe this time is different, maybe I should stay to see how it ends

Just to discover that in that familiar feeling of despair

 I am it's creator
