Familiarity

Strands of different colours

Hang from his open window,

They extend to the farthest reach,

Of the street he says is his;

He had bought them for her,

To remind her of his deep love.

He did put up such a show,

That surprised her.

Even though she knew he loved her,

She needed no reassurance,

She did not object

Familiar to his whims.
