FAMILIES

Families,

Of which

We all have a need to belong to one,

Therefore, in times

Of contention and apprehension;

And in conflicts too,

We must all pull together as family,

And raise one voice,

So, when fabrics of society,

And pioneer's past,

Sometimes clash on ideological fronts,

And family secrets;

For wont or for reason

Are long hidden away,

It is at the genealogist's pen,

Those layers of mysteries kept

Are soon slowly peeled away,

Revealing new beginnings

In a newness of another day,

So, in families

We all have a need

To be part of a family tree.
