Family

Waking up is my hardest trifle,

as I get less sleep than a soldier's rifle.

But every morning my smile comes back to me,

because my father has made me happy.

By treating me to a sweet delight,

not only once then, but also at night.

I truly don't appreciate his hard work,

therefore I must not be a jerk.

As his birthday comes upon me now,

I shall give a gift that'll make him, "wow!"

So that he is granted that same smile,

that has given me happiness for a while.

This feeling is truly all I need,

the product of giving guaranteed.
